G. Kevin Fechtmeyer | Download vCard

Managing Partner

Prior to establishing Cave Creek Capital in 2004, Mr. Fechtmeyer was a Founder and Managing Director of The Shattan Group, the leading independent investment bank focused on private equity placements, where he managed over $1 billion of transactions.  Mr. Fechtmeyer was also a Director of TSG Co-Investors LLC, an affiliated private equity fund.  He was a Founding Member of the private equity groups at Prudential Securities, Inc. and Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc.  Mr. Fechtmeyer began his investment banking career in Merrill Lynch Capital Market’s Merchant Banking Department.  He was previously an auditor and Certified Public Accountant at Touche Ross & Co.

Mr. Fechtmeyer graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 as a National Dean’s List Scholar with a degree in Accounting and Entrepreneurship and received his MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business in 1989.

Prior to joining Cave Creek Capital in 2007, Mr. Lavinia spent the majority of his career in the hedge fund industry specializing in trading the energy sector.  He spent four years as a commodity and foreign currency trader at The Millburn Corporation, a hedge fund managing over $1.5 billion.  Mr. Lavinia also previously worked as a consultant at Accenture.  He co-founded Saugatuck Energy LLC, an energy-based derivative trading hedge fund, in 2002.

Mr. Lavinia graduated from the Boston College Carroll School of Management in 1995 with a marketing degree. He received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California in 2001 with a concentration in finance.  He is also currently a member of Vistage International.
